According to the Centers for Disease Control, aerobic activity should make up most of your child’s 60 or more minutes of physical activity each day. This can include either moderate-intensity aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, or vigorous-intensity activity, such as running.This should include muscle strengthening activities, such as gymnastics or push-ups, at least 3 days per week as part of your child’s 60 or more minutes.

Bringing an expert in to help educate and motivate your youth population provides them with many positive benefits including fun, teamwork, and consistent physical activity. Boot Camp Club– This Boot Camp will include cardio conditioning, strength, power, agility and much more! Focus on fun, teamwork and positive attitudes are enforced. This program is led by a qualified fitness instructor.

Fitness and Fun– An age specific, fun fitness class that will instill general physical skills that are incorporated in every aspect of athletic activity and daily play. Our goal is to watch children grow up with fitness as part of their daily routine. They will gain tools to feel confident with fitness while having a fantastic time of play. Incorporating games into fitness makes the time fly by!

Zumba Kids-Rockin’, high-energy dance fitness class packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. Increases focus and self confidence, boosting metabolism and enhancing coordination.

kidonballYoga for Youth – Classes explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental awareness.

Obstacle Course – Kids love the variety and fun of a challenging obstacle course. A training course filled with obstacles, such as cones, hula hoops, hurdles, jump ropes and other equipment creating a challenging and fun environment.

Kids Club Karate – Kids will enjoy an exciting, high-energy karate class based around both the modern and ancient teachings of Chinese karate. The class consists of one-on-one karate training that concentrates on self-defense, fitness, safety, leadership and respect. Incorporates age-appropriate karate drills to develop fine motor skills, dexterity and muscle memory.

T’ai Chi- Great for improving flexibility and strengthening legs, abdominals, and arms. Some say that t’ai chi is a combination of moving yoga and meditation. This class incorporates breathing exercises and a series of slow, graceful, flowing postures (also called poses) simultaneously. The postures consist of movements that are said to improve body awareness and enhance strength and coordination. Many kids who practice t’ai chi say that they feel more peaceful and relaxed after a workout.

Hip Hop– Dance like your favorite pop stars! In this high-energy, age-appropriate class, kids will learn fun hip-hop techniques and combinations, danced to their favorite music.

Kids classes can be offered after school or during school as part of (or in addition to) a regular gym class. Our trainers are all certified and experienced and ensure safety and fun!

Mile High Fitness has been offering Tai Chi and Zumba for our kids here at Compassion Road Academy and the kids really enjoy the classes. The services are easy to get started and the instructors are professional and know how to work well with our kids. -Gail Cohen, Compassion Road Academy
